Mind Always Matters was established with the intention of providing psychotherapy for people who have concerns with mental health due to anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, ADHD, addiction, self-esteem issues, personality disorders, grief & loss and work-related concerns.

As the World Health Organization famously says, “There is no health without mental health.” In the course of a lifetime, not all people will experience a mental illness, but everyone will struggle or have a challenge with their mental well-being. According to a report published by the Government of Canada in the year 2017, “Mental illness is experienced by 1 in 3 Canadians during their lifetime”. Numerous Canadians are directly or indirectly impacted by it through family, friends, or colleagues. This might lead us to a question – What is mental illness?

Mental illness is the decreased capability of an individual to function effectively over a prolonged period because of:

significant levels of distress
changes in thinking, mood, or behaviour
feelings of isolation, loneliness, and sadness
the feeling of being disconnected from people and activities

We passionately provide research-based psychotherapy to assist our clients in dealing with mental health concerns.

Our Mission

To provide research-rooted psychotherapy for clients, who have concerns with mental health, so that they can heal from their trauma and move from survival mode to thriving; so that they can live their life abundantly.

Our Therapist

My name is Rejoe Mohan. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.) who focuses on providing research-based psychotherapy for clients who have concerns with Mental Health and Substance Use. I provide counselling services for adults and couples.

I finished my MSc. in Clinical Psychology from India and worked in India as a counsellor for a leading EAP for around 3 years. Having worked as a corporate counsellor in one of India’s leading counselling centres, I have acquired experience engaging with a diverse array of clientele. As part of the EAP services, I have also given talks and conducted group therapy sessions in Bengaluru and other cities in South India. I also had the opportunity to teach a certificate course in Positive Psychology at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. I then moved to Canada and did my second Masters in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I have been trained in multiple therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Satir Family Transformational Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

It can be quite a challenge to reach out for mental health assistance when we are feeling anxious, distressed, or depressed. You might even have reached out multiple times before. I appreciate you for looking out for assistance. That in itself shows the inner strength you have. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for you so that we could deal with the symptoms and causes of concerns that are causing you distress.
